Organizational Structure for Monitoring and Channelization
Having engaged ourselves in an area concerned with charity, we understand the trust the donors repose in us and it becomes our responsibility to adopt effective monitoring and channelizing measures to handle the resources entrusted to us. Joyofgiving Global Foundation has adopted a sound monitoring and channelizing mechanism, by setting clear-cut guidelines w.r.t roles and responsibilities of NGO partners, which happen to be the organizations that deal directly with the beneficiaries of all our programs. Given below is a very brief sketch of how we manage the process.
The apex of the organizational pyramid is the Core Committee, which is a high-level committee formed by the representatives from different governmental and non-governmental organizations in India. It plays a key role of giving necessary guidance and support to the chair. The core committee is named Joyofgiving Global Foundation, which happens to be the governing body.
The core committee has several “Lead Organizations”, reporting to it. Lead Organizations are state-wise committees, which have a key role in providing necessary guidance and support to “Parent Organizations” reporting to it. The number of Lead Organizations depends on the number of states the Foundation is associated with.
Parent Organizations are necessarily organizations which are working towards a specific cause, for e.g. Children Welfare, Women Welfare, Health & Disabled, Environment and so on. The number of Parent Organizations under a Lead Organization is limited to ten (i.e. a Lead Organization can engage itself in ten different causes) or need-based issues.
Parent Organizations have several Chapter Follower Members in its fold. It’s the Parent Organization, which decides on the number of Chapter Follower Members that come under its umbrella. Chapter Follower Members are the organizations, which are working towards the same cause as the Lead Organization and are the people who actually deliver the resources to the end-users.
The organizational structure ensures an efficient flow of resources from one end to the other.
